ABSTRACT

The mealy plum aphid (Hyalopterus pruni Geoffr.), Homoptera Order, Aphididae Familiy, present a large area of spreding, being one of the main plum pest from the Oltenia central area.During 2002- 2004 at S.D. Banu Maracine there has been made research regarding the influence of the main climatic factors (temperature and air relative humidity) on the populations dynamic of the mealy plum aphid.

There has been recorded the flight dynamic of the mealy plum aphid during 24 h. The flight activity of the winged aphids has been maximum between 18 and 22C, the flight begun in the morning, reduce as intensity during the day, especially if the temperature surpass 25C, reaching a maximum to the evening, around 19-20 hours.
